Hi everyone! I know it’s unheard of for me to post twice in one day, but Books Are 42 tagged me in this fun book tag this morning (thank you for tagging me!) and I wanted to do it today as well. Melting Pots and Other Calamities created this tag, which is all about books with questions based on what cats… do, as the title says. Unfortunately, I do not have any pets at the moment—despite having constant cat and dog fever—but I do love cats almost more than anything. So here it goes!
Purr – As Cats Do This When They’re Happy or Relaxed, What Is the Book That Makes You Happiest or Relaxed?
Sapphic book answer: You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson. You just can’t beat that feel-good ending. Non-sapphic book answer: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, the book love of my life.
Sleep – What Is A Book That Put You to Sleep or Was Just Boring?
I’m sorry to say it but I Kissed Alice by Anna Birch was a boring read for me purely because I didn’t like the characters very much.
Twitch While Dreaming – Have You Ever Dreamt of a Book You Read?
Not that I can think of… but that’s an interesting question!
Seems to Play Nice…Until the Claws Are Out – Which Book Had the Biggest Plot Twist(s)?
Ooooh, I have to say Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Power. I’m not sure if it’s as much of a big plot twist as it is just a wild ride.
Cuddles – Which Book Character Would You Give A Hug To?
Oh boy. Sideways Pike from The Scapegracers. That poor goth lesbian witch is so prickly and I just want to hug her.
Catnip – What’s A Book That Made You Have Warm and Fuzzy Feels?
Again, You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson.
Cat Breeds – What Are Your Favorite Books?
Is it… possible that my favorite sapphic book has not been written yet? I have a habit of thinking whatever I recently read was a favorite, so I’m going to say Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales.
Getting the Cat – How Did You Find Your Favorite Book(s)?
As far as PoP by Sophie Gonzales goes, I saw it on Goodreads and then requested the ARC of it on NetGalley!
The Vet’s Office – Your Least Favorite Book:
I’m not one for book-bashing, but let me tell you… The Gravity Between Us by Kristen Zimmer was offensive, biphobic, and frustrating beyond belief to read.
Being in Places They Shouldn’t – Least Favorite Cliché:
Love triangles!!! I want to see (most of) them burn!!! No, I will not be elaborating.
Final Question: The Good Old Cardboard Box- Most Underrated Book Series:
I don’t know if I’ve read many sapphic series… Maybe Hannah Abigail Clarke’s The Scapegracers trilogy? I really love me some sapphic witches.
I don’t actually know any other bloggers, so I’m tagging anyone who wants to do this too. You can also answer the questions in a comment!
