Hi everyone! I don’t know about anyone else, but February was a bad month for me: my grandpa’s funeral, way too much work, and a week-long migraine on top of two others. I’m very ready to welcome the month of March. Similarly to last month’s wrap-up post, I’m going to include books I read in February that were and were not sapphic, since I just want to share what I’ve been reading! Sapphic books will be marked with an asterisk.
- Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater (November 2019)
I know, I know. I preordered this in early 2019 and just finally got around to reading it. This one isn’t sapphic, but the main character is gay!
- A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson* (January 2021)
The ARC gods (or just the nice people at Nyx Publishing) smiled upon me and granted me an ARC even though it had already came out, which I was very excited about since I’d been dying to read this for months! You can read my full review of this vampiric novella here.
- She’s Too Pretty to Burn by Wendy Heard* (Available March 30, 2021)
This sapphic reimagining of The Picture of Dorian Gray literally left me speechless. I’ll be posting a review later this month!
- May Bird and the Ever After by Jodi Lynn Anderson (May 2006)
This trilogy was one of my fiancée’s favorites as a child, and so we’re reading these books together now! I don’t read a ton of middle grade, but this is a super fun read when you just want to escape.
That’s all for now! What did you read in February?
